BLANTON´S Special Reserve

Blanton’s Special Reserve 70cl 40%vol. is a Bourbon Single Barrel made in Frankfort, Kentucky, from Corn, Rye and Malt. Special Reserve is the first whisky in Blanton’s portfolio, the perfect introduction to the artisan character of the house, bottled in a single barrel, with filled, labeled, sealed and numbered bottles by hand.

At 80 proof, the Blanton Special Reserve is ideal for those who are new to single-barrel bourbons. It has a slightly floral nose that transmits whispers of cedar and raisins between soft notes of vanilla. On the palate it has a light and airy feeling. The taste of vanilla and toffee dance around subtle notes of nuts and white pepper. Its soft consistency makes it perfect for a premium cocktail or served with ice. Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume.

TASTING NOTES

Its clean, crystalline color invites you to dip into the glass, suggesting a well-balanced and refined bourbon. The light passes through its liquid with ease, highlighting its elegance and quality, which is a first indication of its carefully distilled and matured process in oak barrels.

NOSE: As it approaches the glass, the fragrance of Blanton's Special Reserve opens up a range of seductive aromas that slowly unfold. In the foreground, sweet, creamy notes of vanilla and a hint of toasted caramel stand out, evoking memories of homemade sweets. As the whiskey is aerated, more complex notes of ripe fruits such as juicy red apples and lightly spiced pears emerge. In addition, a light breeze of warm spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg add to the aromatic symphony, accompanied by a subtle but comforting touch of aged oak. All of this merges into an enveloping fragrance, which is not overwhelming, but harmonious and well-integrated.
