Zárate Balado Albariño is a limited-production white wine produced by Bodegas Zárate in the Rías Baixas region of Galicia. It comes from two small plots of vineyards planted in 1950 with ungrafted vines, surrounded by a distinctive stone wall that gives the wine its name. Its production follows a traditional and meticulous approach, with manual harvesting, spontaneous fermentation, and aging on lees to highlight its character. Renowned for its authenticity and fidelity to the terroir, this Albariño reflects the purest expression of its origin, combining history, viticultural precision, and respect for the vineyard.
TASTING NOTES
COLOR: At first glance, the Zárate Balado Albariño displays a bright straw yellow with subtle golden reflections, revealing its purity and careful craftsmanship. Its clarity and density in the glass suggest a well-defined structure, while its luminous flashes anticipate freshness and vitality.
NOSE: Its aromatic expression is refined and balanced. Notes of white and stone fruit are perceived in perfect harmony with delicate floral nuances. As it evolves in the glass, subtle herbal notes and a marked minerality emerge, evoking the influence of the granite soil and the proximity to the Atlantic.
TASTE: The palate unfolds with precision and breadth. Its entry is vibrant, with an acidity that provides tension and enhances its natural freshness. The texture is silky yet structured, allowing for an elegant and persistent evolution. The finish is long and evocative, leaving a mineral and saline sensation that invites you to continue discovering its nuances with each sip.
