COLOR: The Kanonkop Pinotage has a deep and vibrant colour, with a deep ruby ​​red fading into dark, almost purple hues at the edge of the glass. Its dense layer and brightness indicate a promising complexity, anticipating the richness of flavours that lie within.

NOSE: As the nose approaches, the wine unfolds generously with a first impression of ripe black fruits: juicy plums, wild blackberries and a hint of black cherry. As the wine breathes, complex tertiary notes emerge evoking aromas of blond tobacco, fine leather and a hint of dried herbs, giving it an extra dimension of depth. The well-integrated wood brings with it a subtle layer of sweet spices, dark cocoa and a faint trace of roasted coffee. This aromatic array reveals the harmony between fruit, ageing and complexity that characterises this wine.

TASTE: On the palate, the Kanonkop Pinotage is solidly structured, medium to full-bodied, offering a perfect combination of power and elegance. The firm but polished tannins provide a velvety, enveloping sensation. The fruit profile once again stands out, with black plum, blackberry and a hint of ripe raspberry, balanced by subtle notes of dark chocolate and a spicy touch reminiscent of black pepper and cinnamon.
