TASTING NOTES

COLOR: As you pour Macallan Concept No. 2 into the glass, a deep, radiant amber unfolds, with warm gold hues that reflect the light. Its appearance is highly luminous, evoking the sparkle of a golden sunset. This rich and vibrant colour invites us to explore the complexity of the expression before even bringing it to the nose.
NOSE: From the first moment, the aroma of this whisky is intense and seductive, with a blend that awakens the senses. Ripe red fruits such as raspberries, black cherries and a hint of prunes make their way to the foreground. These fruity notes are accompanied by a subtle fragrance of dark cocoa, which brings a slight bitterness that balances the sweetness. As you go deeper, delicate spicy notes emerge, such as cinnamon and a hint of clove, giving a feeling of warmth. In addition, a soft layer of gingerbread is mixed with a creamy touch of vanilla, while a background of toasted wood and subtle notes of tobacco are present, giving a glimpse of the complexity that will unfold on the palate.

TASTE: The first sip reveals a silky and enveloping texture, with a smooth but rich-flavored entry. On the palate, the red fruits that were anticipated on the nose are clearly felt: raspberries, plums and a touch of black cherry that becomes almost juicy. The influence of the red wine brings a layer of very pleasant spicy flavors, with notes of cinnamon, pepper and a slight sensation of toasted almond that appears as the whiskey opens up. The wood, present but not dominant, is noted with a touch of subtly smoky oak, which accompanies the smoothness of the whiskey without losing elegance. In the finish, a slight honey sweetness is mixed with a slightly bitter note of cocoa and a hint of toast that persists, leaving a warm and pleasant sensation.
