NIKKA Miyagikyo Single Malt is a Japanese whisky that reflects the mastery and tradition of the Miyagikyo distillery, located in the mountains of the Sendai region. Founded by pioneer Masataka Taketsuru, this distillery has succeeded in creating a unique whisky that combines technical precision with an artistic approach to its production. With a distilling philosophy that respects both Scottish heritage and Japanese innovation, Miyagikyo Single Malt is an outstanding example of the refinement and elegance that characterise Japanese whiskies. Ideal for those seeking a balanced and sophisticated experience.
TASTING NOTES
COLOR: Its light golden color is reminiscent of liquid honey under the light. It has a brilliant transparency that reflects the purity of its production, almost as if it were a glint of sunlight trapped in a glass.
NOSE: The fragrance unfolds elegantly and subtly. Immediately, delicate floral notes are perceived, accompanied by a touch of fresh green apple and a slight nuance of aged wood. It is like a walk in a garden at dawn, with the freshness of the breeze and the softness of flowers in full bloom. Over time, notes of honey, a touch of ginger and a slight nutty presence emerge.
TASTE: The palate has a silky, well-balanced entry. The flavor is smooth, but with a depth that expands slowly. Fruit flavors of ripe pear and plum can be appreciated, mixed with a touch of toasty oak that adds complexity without being overpowering. There is a delicate, almost herbaceous freshness that lingers on the palate, and the finish is long, smooth and slightly spicy, with a subtle vanilla note rounding out the experience.
