TASTING NOTES
COLOR: A brilliant gold, reminiscent of the deep amber of a sunset on a remote island, with nuances that seem to reflect the warmth of a glowing fire, revealing a complexity that promises something powerful yet refined.
NOSE: At first olfactory glance, the peat smoke unfolds like an enveloping cloak, but not aggressively. It is a touch of soft soot, almost like an ember lingering in the air. Beneath that layer, sweet nuances are revealed, reminiscent of heather honey and a subtle nutmeg. With a little more time, ripe fruit notes emerge, like a green apple that has absorbed some of the sea breeze. A mineral and saline touch gives it an extra layer of complexity, as if it were the salty breeze coming in from the sea as it is left to sit in a stone cave.
TASTE: The first sip is an explosion of smoothness and power. Rich, opulent peat is joined by a spicy touch of black pepper and light vanilla, like a blend of old wood and fine spices. The texture is creamier than one would expect, leaving a slight charred wood aftertaste and a hint of orange peel that adds freshness. The salinity of the sea peeks through timidly, but without taking away from the roasted coffee that lengthens, while a light dose of toasted almonds completes the profile. The finish is long, with smoky echoes that fade slowly, leaving a sense of balance between earthy and saline, like the last breath of the coastal wind.
