Plantation Jamaica 2002 is a limited edition rum that reflects the tradition and craftsmanship of Jamaican distilling. Originating from the Caribbean island, it is the result of a meticulous process that begins with the selection of high-quality sugar cane and distillation using traditional techniques. After maturation in Jamaica, the rum is transferred to France for finishing in oak barrels, which gives it a unique complexity. This rum is an expression of the authenticity and unmistakable character of Jamaica, offering a deep and refined experience for lovers of good rum.
TASTING NOTES
COLOR: The rum has a deep amber color, with golden tones that reflect its time in oak barrels. The intensity of the tone reveals its long maturation process, in which it has acquired a rich complexity.
NOSE: On approaching the glass, the fragrance offers an explosion of ripe tropical fruits, such as banana and pineapple, intertwined with soft notes of vanilla and hints of spice. The profile is robust, with a slight sweetness reminiscent of molasses and a slight smoky touch denoting its aging in oak barrels. A subtle herbal background brings freshness and balance to the nose.
TASTE: On the palate, the rum unfolds with a smooth, warm texture. The fruity flavors are again prominent, this time accompanied by a slightly spicy sensation coming from the spices and oak. There is a complexity that ranges from sweet to spicy, with hints of caramel, leather and a touch of cocoa lingering on the palate. The finish is long and lingering, leaving a sensation of warmth and a slight smoky trace that invites further enjoyment.
