TASTING NOTES

COLOR: A deep amber that reflects the maturity and complexity of its 14 years of aging. The light caresses the glass, creating golden sparkles, as if each drop were a reflection of the mystery of this limited edition.

NOSE: The first inhale is a direct invitation to the heart of Islay, with a vibrant peatiness filling the air: dense smoke, creosote and the wet earth that only Ardbeg knows how to deliver. As the smoke mellows, layers of dried fruits and a subtle hint of smoky honey emerge, like a contrast between the brutality of the peat and the sweetness hidden within. In the background, spicy notes of black pepper and an aftertaste reminiscent of burnt wood, like an old oak that has been carried away by time. 

TASTE: On the palate, the Unicorn's Tale is a symphony of contrasts: at first, the peat presents itself in full force, but quickly softens, revealing an oily texture that embraces the palate. The explosion of flavors oscillates between sea saltiness, ash and old oak, with a caress of candied fruit and a subtle hint of toasted vanilla. As it progresses, a deep, slightly salty and spicy aftertaste lingers on the tongue, reminiscent of a sunset on the shores of Islay, as the wind and sea breeze mingle with the distillery's legacy.
