Plantation St. Lucia 2003 is an exceptional rum that stands out for its origins on the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, a region renowned for its tradition of distilling high-quality rums. Part of the prestigious Plantation line, this rum is distinguished by its unique aging process, which combines the warm climate of the Caribbean with a final finish in oak barrels in France. This meticulous approach to double maturation gives it a complexity and sophistication that make it an ideal choice for aficionados of fine rums.
TASTING NOTES
COLOR: This rum presents itself with a deep, bright amber hue, with golden reflections that denote its time in oak barrels. The intensity of its color suggests significant maturity, combining both the essence of the Caribbean and the refined touch of European aging.
NOSE: The first impression on the nose is an invitation to discover a range of warm and enveloping aromas. Ripe notes of tropical fruits such as banana and pineapple are perceived, followed by a light fragrance of honey and sweet spices. When the glass is swirled, aromas of vanilla, aged oak and a subtle hint of dark chocolate are also distilled, revealing its complexity and care in its maturation process.
TASTE: It unfolds with a silky smoothness, but with great presence. Notes of dried fruits such as apricot and raisin combine perfectly with a subtle oak layer, which adds a spicy and slightly smoky touch. The natural sweetness of the rum is balanced by an elegant acidity, creating a harmony between fruit and spice, with a long, warm and persistent finish that invites further enjoyment.
